Job description
The Sous Chef of Cuisine is responsible for supporting the daily kitchen operations by supervising food quality, hygiene standards, and the proper execution of recipes and presentations. The role also includes assisting with supply orders, controlling labor and food costs, and preparing product requisitions to ensure efficient operations.
The Sous Chef works in close collaboration with the Executive Chef and fellow Sous Chefs on menu development, introducing new dishes, and implementing operational improvements. Regular engagement with guests is essential to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction with both food quality and presentation.
Additionally, the Sous Chef leads and motivates the culinary team through training, fostering teamwork, and upholding Alila's values, safety standards, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in an upscale dining environment and luxury hospitality.

Intermediate English proficiency (approximately 75%).
·
Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and discipline.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
·
Exceptional guest service abilities with clear and confident communication.
·
Capability to recommend dishes based on guest preferences and budget, with strong knowledge of allergy considerations and religious dietary restrictions.
