Job description

Hyatt is extremely pleased to prepare the opening for the Grand Hyatt Jeju with a new vision of the Grand Hyatt brand in Jeju, reflective of the island's unique environment, and providing travelers with our first-class integrated resort service and hospitality. The hotel will be one of the largest Hyatt hotels with 1,600 rooms, 14 food and beverage outlets, and approximately 1,680 square meters of meeting space, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, two spas (European and Korean Jimjil Spa) with a total of eight treatment rooms and a kids club.

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.

To assist the Beverage Manager in managing the assigned outlet as a successful independent profit centre, in line with the outlet's operating concept and Hyatt International standards, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the outlet.

You will be responsible to host and serve all guests, ensuring they have an exceptional drinking & Dining experience; creating lasting memories and building relationships.

The position will initially be based in Jeju City/Island, South Korea.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you will require to have:

·  Minimum 2 years work experience as Sommelier in a 5 Star Hotel.
·  Ideally with a relevant degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management.
·  Excellent communication, team building and leadership skills.
·  Intermediate computer skills.
