About the Role

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating and converting group business, managing inquiries ranging from 10 to 465 rooms per night. You will craft tailored proposals, negotiate contracts, and nurture lasting client relationships that support the hotel's commercial success. Working closely with the Associate Director of Sales, you will play a key role in positioning Grand Hyatt Barcelona as a preferred destination for meetings, incentives, and group travel.

Main Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Business Development

· Identify, qualify, and develop new group business aligned with the hotel's commercial strategy.
· Build strong and lasting relationships with meeting planners, corporate clients, organizations, Hyatt Sales Force, Convention Bureaus, and key industry partners.
· Actively seek new opportunities and enhance existing partnerships to maximize revenue potential.

Tailored Sales Approach & Proposal Excellence

· Understand client needs and deliver customized proposals that highlight the hotel's offerings, services, and unique experiences.
· Prepare polished presentations and maintain accurate booking information in internal systems.
· Monitor the status of group leads, analyze competition, and adjust offers as needed to secure business.

Site Inspections & Client Experience

· Organize and lead site visits that reflect the hotel's luxury standards and exceed client expectations.
· Ensure a seamless and memorable inspection experience that strengthens conversion potential.

Contracting & Deal Closure

· Negotiate rates and contract terms confidently and effectively.
· Ensure timely completion of deposits and documentation prior to handover to the Events team.

Cross‑Departmental Collaboration

· Partner closely with Event Planning, Operations, and Marketing to ensure smooth coordination and flawless execution of group programs.
· Assist in cross‑selling hotel facilities and promotional opportunities to support wider business objectives.

Client Communication & Service Excellence

· Respond to group inquiries within the established 6‑hour response time.
· Conduct follow‑ups to ensure client satisfaction, resolve concerns promptly, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Revenue Optimization & Market Insight

· Achieve personal and departmental sales goals through strategic planning and opportunity management.
· Stay informed of market trends, competitor behavior, and industry developments, sharing insights with the team.
· Contribute to revenue‑driving initiatives and commercial strategies.

Sales Tools, Training & Development

· Maintain proficiency in Envision, Opera PMS, H2H, and Hyatt loyalty programs to support accurate and efficient sales processes.
· Participate in ongoing training and assist in onboarding new colleagues and trainees.
· Support a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Qualifications & Requirements

·  Previous experience in hotel sales, preferably within the luxury segment.
·  Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
·  Proven ability to manage sales cycles, from lead qualification to deal closure.
·  Proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a valuable plus.
·  Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
·  Proactive, analytical, and solution‑focused mindset.
·  Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
