About the Role

As the Safety and Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department and providing an excellent and consistent level of service to our guests in accordance with Hyatt International's brand standards.

Working in a team of 2, you will support the Safety & Security Manager in supervising the day to day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your Hospitality career within an international company; either in Australia or overseas.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Some of the responsibilities include:
· 
Patrolling and monitoring of the property both front of house and back of house

· 
Assisting and investigating security of the hotel

· 
Assisting with Events and VIP clientele security as requested

· 
Managing emergency situations in lieu of the Manager

· 
Assisting associates with security training

· 
Testing of life safety equipment

· 
Identifying and reporting hazards and assisting with the management of them

· 
Fire patrols

· 
Replenishment of First Aid boxes situated around the hotel

· 
Report writing and other administrative tasks

Qualifications
· 
VET qualifications in Security Operations, Security & Risk Management or related education is required

· 
Previous experience in five-star hotel or similar, fast-paced environment

· 
An understanding and interest in WHS/ Risk Management

· 
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (with advanced proficiency of the English Language) along with the ability to confidently interact with guests in person

· 
Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task

· 
Superior customer service skills with excellent service resolution skills

· 
The capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team

· 
Ability to work well under pressure and possess a great attention to detail

· 
The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of five-star grooming standards

· 
Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including public holidays
