As a member of the Management team, the Food and Beverage Manager is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reports to the General Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for much more than the efficient operation of the food and beverage division in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and Hyatt Regency brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible to function as an advocate of the brand far beyond the boundaries of hotel. community management and integration will be very important.
In short, it is essential for the F&B Manager to understand that this is not a typical F&B operation where menus are written every 3 months and the operation is the same every day. It will require to work from bottom up and evoke natural talents within the team to bring out the best in them.
As with everything, the Food & Beverage Manager will have to also be a Business Unit Manager and a Marketing Specialist for the Food and Beverage Department, to ensure that all the outlets and banquets operate profitable. As the Executive Chef reports to the General Manager, the relationship with this colleague will have to be amicable and progressive while keeping in mind that accountability of the division rests with the Food & Beverage Manager at all times.
Ideally with an internship or professional diploma in a Food & Beverage related field. Minimum 2 years work experience in a food & beverage leadership role of a luxury hotel operation. Must have a proven track record of entrepreneurial thinking and execution. Good practical, operational and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity and sustainability are a must. Hotel pre-opening experience of great advantage.
