The Role

An outgoing, extrovert personality who can meet and exceed sales targets set in the monthly and yearly forecasts and to direct all efforts to maximizing the hotel's revenues and profits across all revenue streams specifically rooms, small meeting conference and food & beverage operating departments. He / She enjoys interacting with guests and colleagues, as well as to work as a team member to create the most professional events sales team in Grand Hyatt Doha. Multi-tasking / multi-skill is vital.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Together with the Events Sales Team, to be primarily responsible for converting all incoming leads. That includes answering incoming telephone inquiries and acknowledge emailed inquiries within two hours of receipt, handling last minute leads, undertaking telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities where required.

To maintain complete and supported records (filing, Envision) of all sales agreements, contract and quotes for the hotel as per Hyatt Hotels Corporation Policies & Procedures. To achieve targets in terms of number of new active Accounts, Events Covers and Revenue as set by the Director of Events. To submit monthly sales and entertainment schedule to the Director of Events. To ensure that all credit and collection procedures are implemented following the established Credit policies & procedures.

General responsibilities are to project at all times a positive and motivated attitude, to maintain a high standard of grooming and hygiene at all times, to maintain a good rapport and working relationship with colleagues and all other departments. Full support to Supervisors and team is essential, for any other reasonable duties and responsibilities are assigned.




Qualifications
·  Minimum 2 years work experience as Event Sales Executive in a luxury international brand hotel. Good understanding of selling techniques and banquet knowledge. Computer skills in MS Office, email, Envision/OPERA/RESERVE will be an asset.
· 
Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills are a must.
