Director of Rooms

The Director of Rooms is a key member of the hotel's executive leadership team, responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Rooms Division and delivering exceptional business and guest outcomes. This role leads the overall Rooms strategy in alignment with Hyatt brand standards and the hotel's annual business plan, with accountability for commercial performance, service culture, asset quality, and leadership development. In close collaboration with Spa and cross-functional hotel leaders, the Director of Rooms helps create an integrated luxury guest journey that differentiates the hotel in the market.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide strategic leadership for the Rooms Division to support the hotel's business objectives and brand positioning
· Drive performance across guest experience, revenue, profitability, productivity, and colleague engagement
· Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and divisional performance management
· Partner with key stakeholders across Revenue, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and Spa to optimize business and guest outcomes
· Guide long-term planning for Rooms product quality, capital improvements, and operational effectiveness
· Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture aligned with Hyatt Values and leadership expectations
· Develop strong leadership capability and succession pipelines across the division
· Serve as a member of the Leadership Committee and contribute to broader hotel strategy and decision-making

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Qualifications

·  Significant leadership experience in Rooms Division operations within a luxury or upper-upscale hotel
·  Proven business acumen and experience driving commercial and operational performance
·  Strong leadership capability in talent development, stakeholder alignment, and change leadership
·  Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
·  Strong understanding of luxury guest expectations and service standards
·  English fluency required; Japanese language capability preferred
