Job description



The role of the Trade Middle Office Assistant is to provide a high level of service to customers whilst minimizing operational errors and losses, primarily through pre-processing of documents and preparation of outgoing advices, monitoring and approving transactions.

The role is working with in UK Service Delivery – Trade, Receivables & Equipment Finance Business Services.

We are looking for a motivated person to join a GTRF centre of excellence team looking after some of our largest UK Clients.

This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and expand your knowledge of the different products available in GTRF and involves liaison with internal and external customers on non-routine matters via client services where appropriate.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Pre-processing of documents and preparation of outgoing advices, monitoring and approving transactions.
· React promptly to requests received from Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) Sales/Relationship managers and client services in respect of the processing of client transactions.
· Ensure our customers receive a quality service at all times.
· Promote and enhance HSBC's Trade & Guarantee capabilities.
· Provide technical advice and guidance to internal & external clients.
· Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Desired profile



Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:

·  Experience providing a specialist service for customers, internal and external who deal with
·  Good IT skills - Microsoft suite etc.
·  Customer driven, Ability to work on your own with minimal supervision, Meet tight documented processing deadlines, Accuracy and attention to detail.
·  Consistently achieved objectives set for them and taken action to improve their own performance
·  Self-awareness with confidence to work independently and take responsibility for own development
·  Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of sharing information effectively, in a clear, concise and professional manner
·  Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals

The base location of this role will be 4 Hardman Square, Manchester
