We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Technical Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Driving technical investigation into critical service failures and identify recovery strategies
· Fully documenting operational requirements, proposed solutions, processes and data flows effectively.
· Driving root cause analysis with relevant support teams to understand service performance breaches and mitigate in the future.
· Managing your time effectively with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously prioritising tasks due to shifting priorities and deadline pressures.
· Developing an understanding of Digital system service propositions, objectives and critical process deadlines

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·  In depth knowledge of Java including how a JVM works, how to use JVM diagnostic tools
·  Experience of SSL including handshaking, certificates, mutual authentication
·  Reasonable understanding of JDBC, LDAP, JMS with Websphere MQ
·  Knowledge of CloudFoundry, Mulesoft, Kubernetes, AWS, F5 and GSS
·  Strong fault finding/diagnostic/trouble-shooting skills
The base location for this role is Sheffield.
