Technical Cash Equities Business Analyst

Job description

The Cash Equity Technology team is in charge of IT developments related to the Sector and Program Trading desks. The application these desks use is Fidessa.

The Cash Equity Technology team is working in an international environment; it works closely with its counterparts throughout the other regions as well as other Front Office and Back Office IT teams.

Enable the business agenda within the facility of technology.

Main Duties

The candidate will be responsible for:

· Understanding complex business problems and requirements across different parts of the functional architecture and shaping technical outcomes.

Capturing business requirements across the strategic solution through liaising with key business users and stakeholders and presenting appropriate solutions.

Liaising with the business users, other business analysts and project managers on the team to drive appropriate solutions based on business prioritization and existing system functionality.

·
Liaising with other IT teams to assess the viability of internal and external solutions.

·
Designing and executing SIT test cases and testing approach.

·
Driving the development and testing teams to meet the deliverables as promised to stakeholders within the timelines laid out.

·
Maintaining clear lines of communication including providing continuous follow-ups to team members and stakeholders.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Technical
·  Experience writing functional specifications (Required)
·  Business knowledge of Cash Equities (Required)
·  Experience with SQL (Highly Desired)
·  General knowledge with reading code – especially with respect to Fidessa's TCL or Expression Evaluator (Highly Desired)
·  Worked with vendors to assess, implement, deploy a vendor based solution (Desired)

General

·  Experience of large scale change initiatives across multiple functional areas (Required)
· 
Experience of the investment banking environment (Required)

Experience with Fidessa (Required)

Experience with Flex Trade (Highly Desired)
