Principal Accountabilities

Key activities

Ensure Compliance

§ Ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory issues and compliance of all internal controls. Implement and Comply with Group Compliance Policy. Should deliver considering the operational risk associated with the role.

Roles and Responsibilities

§ L2 Netbackup Installation & configuration Netbackup

§ Main activities Perform regular system maintenance; including Incident solving; Change implementation; Patch management; Analyze/solve performance and security issues Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system; databases; middleware or applications teams

§ Troubleshooting backup failures and taking appropriate steps

§ Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup (Fiber Transport)

§ Basis OS knowledge of windows & Unix.

§ Upgrading and patching the Backup servers

§ Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP Integration with Netbackup

§ Backup/restoration (DR) of UNIX/ Windows Host

§ Backup/Restore for Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP

§ Managing Internal Database of Netbackup

§ Should also have good understanding on TCP/IP concepts.

Communication and Team Work

§ Meet the delivery standards as per the agreement that includes quality of deliverables, documentation

§ Should be excellent team member and work as a cross-functional team member and liaise with Vendors to resolve hardware issues.

§ Ability to establish mutual expectations with Business Partners is required. Ensuring that the processes are adhered to

§ Excellent oral and written communication skills (English) are critical for success in this job.
