We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Operational Resilience - WPB NFR UTILITY -RISK CONTROL.

Principal responsibilities

To lead WPB Business Service Owners (BSO) on Important Business Services (IBSs) in Operational Resilience (OR) Programme. You will be accountable for the team's delivery for OR, as the team will be the primary focal point of coordination with different stakeholders and assist in drafting OR artefacts for review and signoff by BSO. The role will lead the team to:

·  Assist the BSO to refresh the IBS artefacts on annual cycle or by trigger events (e.g. post-incident review, significant business changes, new regulatory requirement etc.);
·  Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g. Process Owner, Third Party Engagement Manger, IT Service Owner, global mapping team) to ensure the IBS artefacts are up-to-date;
·  Tracking the remediation plan of Business Vulnerabilities and Technology Vulnerabilities.
·  Coordinate the Scenario Testing with BCIM team and key stakeholders.
·  Support BSOs on their Quarterly Self-assessment and Annual Self-assessment, obtain their sign-off and risk steward's comment.
·  Ensure all IBS artefacts are adhere to global Operating Instructions and procedures, also to ensure the data quality on ARIS and BSO dashboard is accurate;
·  Prepare MI for the BSO Governance Meeting, co-ordintate with relevant stakeholders to obtain inputs, arrange pre-meeting with Business, IT and Operation for material incident.
·  Expand global footprint for Operational Resilience programme implementation across different markets.

Principal accountabilities and responsibilities:

Execution:

·  Strategy – Embedding, and continuous improvement of the operational resilience strategy through programme implementation, achieving milestones, outcomes, and benefits realisation.
·  Global Vision – Contributes to and promotes a forward-looking, holistic view of operational resilience aligned to key business, operational, and technology priorities. Be a focal point of contact for migration when Operational Resilience programme expand the global landscape to different markets, be responsible to build up the OR capabilities in different markets and ensure the teams' delivery.
·  Execution – Ensures effective management of personal time to continuous learnings.
·  Governance – Accountable to the businesses and Global Head of WPB NFR Utility, and agreed team and role holder objectives.

Risk Management and Controls:

·  The management of risk will be consistent and in-line with the Bank’s Policies, Standards and Guidelines and will focus on adhering to the highest global standards. This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
·  Addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department and in accordance with the 3LOD model.
·  Demonstrate adherence to internal controls, achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.

Stakeholders:

·  Builds strong relationships within the Bank to understand emerging and key priorities and challenges and align with the operational resilience outcome required. 
·  Work across verticals (business, function, and geographies) to drive innovative thinking about operational resilience.
·  Actively seek out and identify new internal partnerships which enhance & evolve operational resilience.

Operational Effectiveness & Control:

·  Work with the team to drive a pipeline of activity to achieve or exceed agreed requirements.
·  Continuous individual professional development, and input into enhancement of team capabilities and ways of working.
·  Work in conjunction with the team to understand and manage the control and risk environment at a functional level.
·  Adherence to all controls with risks identified.
·  Compliance with operational controls when using internal systems.
·  Continuous individual improvement in support of core services.

Requirements

·  An understanding of operational resilience and how it is specifically applied within financial services. 
·  Strong planning, organisational, communication, and inter-personal skills which support the operational resilience programme outcome.
·  Ability to maximise value and efficiency from resources.
·  Experience of implementation through programme delivery mechanisms e.g., Agile Methodologies.
·  Operating effectively across a large, matrix-managed organisation, to build strong collaboration in support of operational resilience.
·  Demonstrating high ethical standards and thought leadership when challenging existing practices.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
