Regional Graduate Program Manager

Job description



Collaborates with the local Development Leadership team to implement the Global strategy for Graduate attraction, selection and development in HSBC.

Key Responsibilities

· In partnership with our Recruiting team, assist in the execution of recruitment and selection efforts for the Summer Intern and Graduate Program
· Manage business logistics inclusive of, but not limited to: securing business representatives, program event venues, briefing memos, rotational placements, performance management, trainings, promotional inventory, etc.
· Assist with local recruitment activities as it relates to presentations and interviews
· Attend recruiting events
· Manage communications to new hires

Program Management

· Coordinate the logistics of all Summer Intern Program and Graduate events activity including but not limited to:
· Event planning, transportation/logistics, communications, expense management.
· Co-developing networking events and opportunities for Analysts throughout their program lengths, typically consisting of Sr. Manager Speaker Series, business relevant events, corporate sustainability volunteer and related diversity events/conferences.
· Partner with Learning & Talent Development to coordinate applicable licensing, training, mentoring and development activities
· Manage training for full-time new hires locally and globally.
· Coordinate in conjunction with various business stakeholders of all levels on rotation assignments
· Support the successful exit of graduates into post-program destination roles
· Contribute and develop business specific outcome measurable for Graduate program. Impact, and drives the collection of data to demonstrate execution and business value in both the short and long-term (i.e. ROI)
· Manage Performance Management and Graduate check-ins

Miscellaneous

· Ad hoc Development initiatives as and when required relevant to all businesses (e.g. Global Banking & Markets Rising Juniors diverse internship program)

Operational Effectiveness & Control

· To implement the Group compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Global Business Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
· Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Management of Risk

· Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues

Observation of Internal Controls

· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
· Understand the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, HSBC GBM's philosophy and how this affects your role. Act in a manner that takes account of these principles to ensure fair outcomes for customers.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

·  2-5 years undergraduate recruitment and/or Jr. Generalist HR experience (ideally within a Professional Services or global Financial Services environment, preferably a front office business area)
·  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field relevant experience.
·  Proficient user of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel) / Advance Excel helpful (pivots/charts)
·  Experience with HR systems / databases; GTI a plus.
·  A “can-do” attitude; highly motivated and able to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced and demanding environment
·  Attention to detail
