The Personal Assistant role is based with HSBC Small Business Banking (SBB) – Commercial Banking UK

Through Small Business Banking (SBB) our global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the Small to Medium sized Enterprise (SME) market. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to- end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential

The Personal Assistant handles the daily calls and inquiries of their manager or department and responds independently to routine issues and questions. This role serves as a liaison with others within and outside the company handling activities such as event planning, travel arrangements and project follow up. You would be responsible for their own effectiveness, development and results. The Personal Assistant is responsible for providing dedicated, administrative and secretarial support for various teams or Senior Leaders. The Personal Assistant completes operational and administrative duties, ensuring timely completion and compliance with established internal standards.

Your responsibilities will also include:

· Being an ambassador for HSBC and develop the bank's profile in the local business and wider community
· Management and control of projects on behalf of the Senior Manager
· Regular liaison with General / Senior Executive Manager's direct reports to ensure that projects are on track and that deadlines are met.
· Organise and plan conferences/off-site events including preparation and collation of presentation material.
· Meeting papers, agenda items and MI collated for meetings

Desired profile



Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

·  Experience of using all Microsoft packages
·  Experience working in an administrative role
·  Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
·  Supported project teams/managers, showing an understanding of the basic principles of project management

The base location for this role is Birmingham.
