We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Performance Subject Matter Expert .

Principal responsibilities ​

· Responsible for undertaking hands on tuning, optimizing and resolving performance related problems of the bank's mid tier applications and systems in conjunction with their underlying infrastructures.
· Technically challenging and hands on, spanning all levels of the application and infrastructure. The role exposes individuals to all major bank's platforms and technologies, for example, Java, WebSphere, Oracle, Mule, PCF, etc.
· Covers both software code and hardware configuration infrastructure aspects.
· Performance tuning and problem resolution for regional and vendor based systems in ASP.
· Working with project teams including developers, infrastructure support and third party vendors, to recommend and agree cost effective technical performance optimizations.
· Undertaking low level performance evaluations and tuning for technology proof of concepts on latest Future State Architecture solutions and infrastructure technologies, for example, container strategy, cloud adoption, etc.
· Evaluation of latest and greatest tools or software and best practices for use across the performance engineering function.
· Acting as Subject Matter Expert and Level 3 support on complex and mission critical production issues.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements
·  University degree holder in Information Technology discipline preferred.
·  Past working experience in a relevant role, example, Strong level of experience within performance related or programming or software development.
·  Proven programming or software development or design and architecture experience.
·  Preferred development and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Spring, Ajax, Dojo, Perl, Shell scripting.
·  Knowledge of a wide range of infrastructure technologies, ideally with practical build or support experience of Oracle and Websphere.
·  A keen aptitude and motivation to learn new technologies is also a must as the successful candidate will be lucky enough to work on all cutting edge systems deployed across the organization.
·  Problem solving and an aptitude or desire to get involved in complex problem solving of technical issues a must.
·  Strong spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
·  Strong negotiation skills and persuasive nature a distinct advantage.
·  Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Performance Centre, is desirable but not essential.
·  Proven internal and external cloud related work experience or with relevant certification from AWS or GCP is a big plus.
