PAM Senior Engineer

In our cybersecurity team you’ll be helping to safeguard the financial system on which millions of people depend.
You’ll be making banking more secure by designing, implementing, and operating controls to manage cybersecurity risk. You’ll help define HSBC Group cyber security standards, deliver Global Security Operations ad Threat management services, provide round-the-clock monitoring and security incident response services, and oversee Network/Application/Infrastructure Security. The work you do will provid3e assurance of the adequacy and effectiveness of security controls to Business Risk Owners.
Technical Specialists within PAM Technology are usually focussed on one technical area or product, working in an Agile pod within a globally diverse team. This role reports into the Head of PAM Technology. The role holder will act as Senior Engineer within the Privileged Access Engineering pods with the primary assignment being in the Centrify Direct Audit pod

In this role you will:
• Overall team product scope includes Cyberark, Delinea, HashiCorp, TPAM
• Investigate and deliver innovation within the PAM team
• Contribute to BAU and Strategic programs of work in PAM space
• Take ownership root-cause-analysis for major or repeat incidents
• Apply expertise and experience to mature HSBC’s use of these products
• Represent IAM “outwards” to manage quality of service delivered
• Maintain a strong and proactive relationship with the PAM vendors
• Take responsibility for audit and compliance requests for information
• Assist with upskilling and mentoring junior team members
• Take on Agile lead, Scrum Master or deputy team lead duties as required
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• In depth experience of Delinea (previously Centrify) technology (preferably Direct Audit and Direct Control)
• Strong understanding of both UNIX and Windows operating systems – build, support and maintain
• Experience of data management – SQL database, data repositories such as Splunk, reporting such as Grafana
• Experience of building automation processes using Ansible AAP including creation of playbooks
• Experience of managing crisis calls, troubleshooting complex issues and building root cause remediation plans
• Experience of implementing monitoring and alerting on enterprise infrastructure (Splunk, Grafana, App Dynamics, SCOM
• Experience of coding, scripting, and use of GitHub and code management best practices
• Experience working with Audit, and Compliance requests and procedures
• Experience taking on Scrum Master role, or in managing Jira Boards and task prioritisation
This role is based in Sheffield .
