Job description

The Mortgage Officer role is based within HSBC branch network, based in the Isle of Man and dealing with all areas of back office servicing.

The role of the Mortgage Officer is to ensure we deliver to our customers hope streams and ambitions in the filed of mortgages.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Liaising with the local advocate, ensuring security on all home purchases are in place.
· Dealing with customers on there mortgage solutions if by face to face, email or by telephone.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

·  Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Mortgage Propostion, Customer Service Skills,
·  Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Administration environment is desirable but not essential
·  A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers
·  A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
·  Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
·  Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
·  Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
·  A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes

In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have attention to detail and clear focus and look to minimise regulatory risk.

The base location for this role is Douglas, Isle of Man
