We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Lead Analyst, Credit Risk Modelling.
The Lead Analyst will be responsible for developing credit risk decision models for UK Retail portfolios such as mortgages, credit cards and personal loans. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring models are successfully developed in order to make the best possible decisions on lending, using advanced analytics techniques including machine learning.
In this role, you will:
• Build credit risk decision models used to take decisions on lending using tools such as SAS, R and Python.
• Manipulate large amounts of data using advanced analytical techniques including machine learning to build models.
• Explain analytical findings to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Identify solutions to emerging risk issues, changing priorities and areas of conflict.
• Have the ability to draw, formulate and communicate conclusions from own work and take a proactive approach in recommending further actions where required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Have experience in credit risk analytics, ideally with experience of developing models.
• Ability to build models in line with internal guidelines and policies.
• Knowledge and experience of using SAS to manipulate large quantities of data is essential. Knowledge of R and/or Python are desirable.
• Proven experience of manipulating and analysing large quantities of data and communicating findings to senior stakeholders and wider teams.
The base location for this role is Sheffield / Leeds / Birmingham / Chester / Hybrid.
