We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Control Manager - RISK COMPLIANCE COO CCO.

Principal responsibilities

·  Provide expert advice to management across ASP markets in implementing and overseeing risk and control governance processes. The staff will proactively engage with global Control Office teams to deliver / localize risk and control updates through the ASP region.
·  Ensure that management is exercising accountability for managing their risks and controls and escalates issues as appropriate. The staff will interact across the full issues management lifecycle – ensuring issues are raised, updated and appropriately remediated / closed by Control Owners.
·  Lead, inspire and motivate the team in achieving the functions strategic goals. The staff needs to be proactive in identifying risks, creating sustainable solutions, and coordinating remediation activities through the ASP Control Office team, and with the wider R&C Business Manager community.
·  Support robust risk governance and ensure all stakeholders have visibility of key risks, the state of the control environment and remediation activity. A successful candidate will identify opportunities to streamline and make the reporting of the control environment clearer and more efficient.
·  Align Financial Crime Risk and Regulatory Compliance Risk activities to the global strategy and challenge senior leaders on their day-to-day management of risks and controls. 

Requirements

Leadership & Teamwork 

·  Demonstrate leadership on the planning and execution of thematic investigations and compliance reviews in response to internal or external events.
·  Relationship management, communication and influencing skills with experience of positive interactions with diverse and senior stakeholders. The staff will have the maturity and experience to challenge management on their decisions and to influence the global Control Office team.
·  Proven capability in building a high performing team.
·  Strong leadership and people management skills.

Functional Knowledge

·  Risk and Control subject matter expertise and the experience of challenging risk owners.
·  Extensive operational risk experience within a global organization, working across borders and cultures.

Others

·  Ability to make considered and timely decisions under pressure.
·  Ability to present complex issues in a concise and confident manner.   

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
