Job description

Job Purpose
· Development of definitions, data quality rules, thresholds, and standard metrics of quality for data elements that support critical business processes and elements
· Development of controls to mitigate data quality risks including data quality plan development, monitoring data quality results, reports and dashboards, as appropriate.
· Identify and maintain data quality corrective action plans.
· Support compliance assessment process by reviewing and documenting failures from data quality compliance assessment checks.
· Information Lifecycle Management
· Support metadata repository maintenance, access requests, and proper metadata association
Review, validate, and record metadata and data quality information.
Principal Accountabilities: key activities and decision making areas
· Actively participate in all relevant Data Quality Forums to escalate Data lineage issues impacting the specific country
· Articulate data findings in a manner that is understandable to a business team
· Ability to write complex data rules and rule sets in Information Analyzer using SQL or regular expression.
· Support archiving and purging activities of data
· Responsible to link business definitions in Collibra with data lineage tool
· Support creation of complete and accurate definitions for criticle data elements (CDE’s) as defined by the GB/GF
· Co-ordinate relevant meetings and work with different system owners to build data quality rules
· Analyzing data sets or data results (e.g. profiling results, results reporting) to draw inferences and identify adherence, or lack thereof, to business requirements.
· Ensure sensitive data is accessed and shared in accordance to defined policies and processes.
· Create and maintain reference data in accordance to defined processes and procedures.
Manage quality and maintenance of master data as it is created

Local Job Requirements
· Develop data profiling solutions, run analysis jobs and view results, and create and manage data quality controls using Information Analyzer
· Perform column analysis, rule analysis, primary key analysis, natural key analysis, foreign-key analysis, and cross-domain analysis
· Provide best practice guidance and support including; data profiling on designated data sets, conduct analysis on results and provide recommendations on rule development, configure and code data quality validation rules in designated tools (SQL and/or IBM Info Analyzer), reporting -schedule, review and packaging of results for business
· Demonstrate extensive knowledge of IBM's Information Analyzer's architecture, processing and deployment/configuration through the ability to create projects, add data sources, write, configure and execute rules/rule sets within Information Analyzer
Certifications, Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor Degree or International Equivalent
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills preferred
· Focus on detail and consistency
· Strong prioritization and time management skills
· Banking experience with good business and product knowledge; especially in the area of Data Quality
· Expertise in data management, ideally, with strong awareness of Collibra (or similar), Data Quality practice, Tools and Processes
· Strong ETL development experience
· Good Data Warehousing experience
· Expertise in IBM Information Analyzer, Data Stage, DB2, Oracle
· Advanced experience with SQL Scripting.
· Ability to conduct analysis on the data using database querying, excel, and other methods
· Self-motivated, focused, detailed oriented and able to work efficiently to deadlines are essential
· Ability to work with a degree of autonomy while also being able to work in a collaborative team environment
