Job description

The role of the Customer Service Representative is to provide a high level of service to customers whilst minimizing operational errors and losses, primarily through checking documents and/or preparation of outgoing advices and monitoring transactions. Liaison with internal and external customers on routine matters via client services where appropriate

Your responsibilities will include:
· Contribute to the operational efficiency and cost effectiveness of the Business Services Centre/Department.
· React promptly to requests received from Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) Sales/Relationship managers and client services in respect of the processing of client transactions.
· Ensure the operational efficiency and cost effectiveness of the Business Services Centre/Department.

· Ensure our customers receive a quality service at all times.
· Promote and enhance HSBC's Trade & Guarantee capabilities.
· Provide technical advice and guidance to internal & external clients.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:
·  Experience providing a specialist service for customers
·  Customer driven, Ability to work on your own with minimal supervision, Meet tight documented processing deadlines, Accuracy and attention to detail. Trade knowledge would be good
·  Previous experience of delivering an excellent customer service
·  An open, flexible and supportive approach to change and innovation
·  Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of sharing information effectively, in a clear, concise and professional manner
·  Worked collaboratively with other colleagues, supporting them when possible
·  Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have a track record of:
·  Experience with International Trade in either importing, exporting or both.

The base location of this role will be 4 Hardman Square, Manchester
