Global Service Delivery


Within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, Global Service Delivery is a leader in the development of services and processes that are designed around the customer and enable the firm to demonstrate to regulators that its processes and ways of working will deliver consistently high standards of compliance. Every day, customers all over the world are paying bills, buying homes and setting up companies and every day, Global Service Delivery teams are making sure all this happens smoothly.

Role Purpose

· Responsible for accurate NAV calculations checking and investment compliance monitoring;
· Ensure delivery of accurate and timely NAV calculation and reports;
· Handle client enquires and instructions;
· Review team members work and client's deliverables;
· Participate in ad hoc projects;
· Ensure proper maintenance of documentations for accounting records;
· Investigate unreconciled items and find a resolution;
· Liaise with external auditors for auditing of the financial statements;
· Ensure timely completion and issuance of audited financial statements;
· Coaching junior team members on daily operation;
· Delivery of accurate and timely reports to Clients;
· Ensure optimal level of services to clients;
· Understand client requirement and convey information / message for resolution in efficient & effective manner;
· Motivate, monitor and coach subordinates

Impact on the Business/Function

· Take overall ownership of all client deliverables and be accountable for maintaining required standards of delivery quality for valuations
· Take overall ownership for client reporting, regulatory reporting and audit packs
· Represent the operation process for client due diligence, audit visit either at City Site, or Country Site where operation representation is sought to explain the process
· Analyze errors and implement controls to aim for zero quality issues.
· Take leadership role in driving process improvement initiatives.
· Be client aware and contribute to a successful business implementation process and on boarding of new funds.
· To check on the client impact of the change initiatives. Demonstrate the level of commitment and the time management skills to achieve deadlines and should be interested in improving the valuation process and procedures.
· Have a thorough knowledge of fund valuations and have excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrate the attention to detail and the level of accuracy needed in order to review valuations.

· Positive feedback from clients, on-shore managers
· Zero repeat findings
· 90% of leaves planned at the beginning of year. Zero unplanned leave.

Customers / Stakeholders

· Analyze reasons for Internal and external errors and develop strategies that address root causes and sustain the quality of the deliverables
· Provide regular updates to respective teams of PLA breaches, External /Internal errors and effective remedial actions taken.
· Take leadership role in client relationship with business area through regular meetings and service calls with business partner location
· Completion of action points arising from client calls on a timely basis, without supervision

· 100% of client concerns to be addressed and resolved
· Weekly meetings with team to review the week's client deliverables
· Active participation in calls and meetings with business partner jurisdictions
· 100% completion and follow through

Desired profile



Qualifications :

·  University graduate with a degree in accounting or related discipline;
·  A minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fund services or financial industry;
·  Good understanding of the administration of unit trust, mutual fund, accounting, valuation, custody and banking services;
·  Excellent written and spoken English;
·  Strong interpersonal, planning, analytical and problem solving skills;
·  Strong client facing and negotiation skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders;
·  Rotating shift: 05:00 to 23:00
