Role Purpose
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will:
· The role involves making decisions, plan and control team. Abide by the respective operations manuals or any other manuals / guidelines.
· Identify and resolve queries on a day-today basis and also able to identify problems and recommend improvements. Ensure that the process performance metrics are met.
· Be proactive to put forward plans and able to prevent potential fraudulent situations.
· Ensure operational efficiency and monitor workflow. Prepare team capacity planning while fully utilizing the available resources.
· Be able to generate, understand and also interpret MI reports for business partners and GSC management.
· Responsible in maintaining team culture in which creativity thrives and processes and productivity are continuously improved.
· Contribute to the development of subordinates with coaching/counseling and monitoring staff competency / multi-skilling.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Education/Knowledge
· Graduate in commerce / finance / accounting or equivalent. Higher qualification not a bar provided aspirations are commensurate with the position
Work Experience
· Relevant work experience in a processing environment / Credit Operations
· 3-5 years of experience in people management ( If hired externally)
Specific to Underwriting
· Good understanding of secured/ unsecured lending products
Skills
· Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with, relate to and effectively develop wide range of people.
· Ability to speak and understand English fluently, to write good quality emails and reports, and have good conversational skills.
· Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.
· Evidence of good numerical /analytical skills to study trends and make projections.
· Ability to initiate process improvements
· Basic computer knowledge and good keyboard skills
· Good prioritizing, planning ,organizing and problem solving skills
· Flexibility to work shifts and Ability to multi-task.
· Knowledge of and experience in problem solving techniques. Decision making based on experience, judgement and process knowledge
· Able to work under challenging environment with tight timelines
