Financial Crime Risk

Financial Crime Risk (“FCR”) is a Global Function that brings together all areas of financial crime risk management at HSBC and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime. The function has been set up in a way that enables us to build on our achievements in managing financial crime risk effectively across the bank and continue to strengthen financial crime detection, anti-money laundering, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption compliance.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

-Provide assistance in respect of Trade, Economic, and Financial Sanctions (including Sanction programs administered by the US Office of Foreign Asset Control, United Nations, European Union, Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (HMT), (collectively referred to herein as "Sanctions"), and Global Risk Management Framework to meet legislative and regulatory requirements for the business, guide wide.

-To undertake and assist in the review and completion of Customer Sanction Risk Assessments, in line with the HSBC Groups risk appetite. This will involve collaboration with the local business units, including ad-hoc discussions with HSBC Group Affiliates.

-Undertake Customer Alert adjudication.

-To provide ad-hoc assistance as required within the FCC Sanctions team.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
-Preference: client review experience.
-Essential: experience within a Financial Crime, or Risk Management environment, or Investigations background within a Financial Institution or Competent Authority/Regulator.
-Essential: Sanctions experience
-Language Skills: fluent English
