Assistant Compliance Manager , Regulatory Compliance - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract

Regulatory Compliance ensures adherence to applicable regulations and standards by setting the policies which cover HSBC's regulatory requirements, and mitigate conduct and reputational risk issues. The team strives to remain ahead of the regulatory change agenda and ensures the business understands the implications and is prepared for change. It monitors how the Global Businesses and Functions manage their responsibilities with regard to complying with the regulations and helps resolve compliance deficiencies.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Assistant Compliance Manager
In this role, you will:
Support the HSS UK RC team providing Maternity leave cover of a team member, particularly on the following tasks:
Review and challenge the customer feedback log and complaint handling process.
Prepare Compliance Metrics and MI pack for HSS UK Risk and Control Committee.
Liaise with Chief Control Officer's team to review Losses and Errors.
Review and sign off on process migrations to Global Service Centres.
Maintenance of the Regulatory Tracker and advise the business of changes that may require updates to procedures.
Assist with preparing training packs and providing administrative support for deliveray of training.
Review of marketing materials and advising the business on cross border marketing.
Assist with review of the Request for Proposals database responses.
Assist with coordinating responses for providing updates to the compliance plan.
· Review and maintenance of desk procedures.
Support the team members with ad hoc and general administrative tasks.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
· Strong organization skills
· Analytical skills and ability to critically analyse data and be solutions oriented
· Solid verbal and written communication skills.
· Industry qualifications on compliance/risk management would be advantageous.
· Highly motivated and have the ability to effectively prioritise work.
Knowledge of Securities services business
· Proven ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings, both to Compliance colleagues and the business.
· Good analytical skills, together with the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both Compliance colleagues and the business.
Ability to organize and prioritise effectively.
The base location for this role is London 8 Canada Square
