Principal responsibilities

· Monitor and authorize the daily transactions within individual designated authority and make timely recommendations to supervisor(s) for those exceeding authority to ensure all the work procedures are duly completed and all required documents are properly handled;
· Ensure that all operations staff understand internal and external procedures and regulations. Reinforce the control awareness of the staff and ensure that the established control procedures are followed to mitigate any potential operational risks;
· Take appropriate measures to uplift the performance level and morale of the subordinates and ensure that the established service standards are achieved;
· Review daily reports to ensure that all exceptions are properly handled or referred. Monitor operations staff in preparing periodic reports and returns to ensure the submissions are in a timely manner;
· Identify exceptions / ad hoc events and observe escalation procedures to mitigate the potential risks exposed to the Bank;
· Assist supervisors in staff management, eg performance review and staff deployment, of the sub-branch.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy or related disciplines OR relevant professional qualifications;
·  Minimum 5 years' experience in the Mainland to acquire comprehensive knowledge of local commercial and banking regulations and practices, as well as the hierarchy of government departments, officials and their functions;
·  Minimum 3 years' experience in managing subordinates to develop good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills;
·  Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
·  Experience in PFS/retail banking.
