Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC's global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world's leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at the Bluefin Building in Southwark, our global headquarters in Canary Wharf, and multiple other locations around the UK including Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley and Birmingham.

Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2019 and beyond, we are currently seeking a number of experienced Agile Business Analysts to join HSBC Technology.


Brief overview of the business areas

What you will be doing;


Global Asset Management, being part of the Group investment businesses with more than US $400 billion of assets currently under management, is the core investment platform of the HSBC Group which provides investment solutions to retail, institutional and private clients in all major financial markets.

The candidate will work as part of the London based support team, linking closely with the wider support team based across HK, China, India and Toronto, providing Specialist Support for Global Asset Management (AMG) Front Office OMS and decision support services.

AMG Front Office services are currently undergoing a period of transition as they move towards a globally consistent operating model, this includes migrating accounts from management on Charles River onto BBG AIM and all corresponding supporting systems. There are also a number of new or evolving in house and vendor applications which continue to evolve in order to facilitate the goal of a globally consistent operating model.

The Specialist will be reporting to the head of manufacturing IT, working within an Agile delivery method ensuring the backlog of Front Office requirements and analysis feed into Technology Projects and Programmes successfully. Supporting the Product Owners to evolve the front office Product roadmap, providing expertise in Front Office business and IT production support processes to build out suitable and supportable solutions, whilst also working within the framework set out by the Production support manager and providing Front Office support as required for the front office users within AMG

Qualifications :

What you will bring to the role;

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:

Assist in the migration of desks from CRD to BBG AIM. Ensuring that all support requirements and prerequisites are in place prior to the transition of desks.

Assures delivery through the entire life-cycle of the project of user requirements through to live

Works within Medium sized and medium complexity Technology projects within the Front Office

Supports the Product Owner to evolve Product roadmap, creation of epics and writing of user stories and through the delivery pipeline.

Creates analysis of customer journeys and product, strive to continuously improve the customer experience.

Helps to define and track metrics and Performance Indicators for the services, seeking to implement continuous monitoring

Guides the Agile Team performance and outcome metrics as required

Provides expertise in business and production support processes

Provide support for a range of front office platforms, but with specialist knowledge of the Bloomberg eco system and working with Bloomberg – especially BBG AIM – and ensuring issues within the Bloomberg platforms are resolved as efficiently as possible. Be that on-site or via the BBG help function.

Understands risk exposure to the bank and help senior colleagues manage it

Driving measurable continuous improvement into all delivery environments across all disciplines

Provide consultancy, technical analysis and incident resolution services to the Front Office business.

Actively look for process improvements, efficiency gain and technology

Assist with Support Global MI reporting and service management with vendors, esp. BBG

These roles will primarily be London site based at our Head Office in Canary Wharf.
