Actuarial Analyst


The purpose of the role is to contribute to the actuarial and analytical work produced in the UK Product Actuarial team. This will include activities like insurance repricing, reinsurance analysis, value-for-money reporting and IFRS17 modelling.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

· Contributing to the actuarial work of the wider team
· Supporting various projects within INGB, including (but not limited to) insurance repricing, reinsurance analysis, value-for-money reporting and IFRS17 modelling
· Executing various controls within actuarial activities and ensure that the outcome of these are communicated to management as required
· Providing actuarial and analytical support to stakeholders and other senior team members within HSBC
· Providing support for queries and analysis as required by stakeholders and colleagues in the team
· Contributing effectively to team meetings
· Ensuring work undertaken meets best practice and recognized actuarial standards (internal manuals and external as set by professional bodies)
· Ensuring compliance with applicable quality control.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

·  A part qualified actuary with exam passes or exemptions in at least one subject, or looking to work towards qualification
·  Knowledge and full understanding of financial services products
·  Experience of Excel and Prophet
·  Ability to communicate information in a confident and structure manner to all levels of management.
·  Ability to influence business managers, to establish and maintain co-operation
·  Good organisational and planning skills
·  Ability to operate within cross functional teams
·  Excellent leadership and customer relationship management skills

The base location for this role will be either London or Whiteley.
