Job Description:
Seasoned UI Developer Architect for HPE InfoSight
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking an outstanding Software Engineer to play a key role in developing an industry-leading HPE analytics solution: HPE InfoSight. HPE InfoSight allows HPE partners and customers to optimize, manage, and protect their storage and system infrastructure. At the same time, it helps HPE customer support, engineering, and sales deliver more value to our customers.
You will be joining a small, agile, empowered team, focused on analyzing call-home data sent from HPE Storage products to provide business value through analytics. The team leverages a modern big-data and micro-service based technology stack for our end-to-end data processing, analysis, API, and web application – to provide our users with the insights they need to be successful.
Responsibilities:
· Work with the UX and User centered design teams to provide our customers a simple but powerful User Experience through our HTML5/JavaScript web application
· Technical contributor and leader, (preferred as a full-stack developer) in a small, cross-functional development team, focused on providing data analytics as a service to internal and external HPE customers (we’re heavy users of React.js)
· Develop unit, integration, system or any tests that are needed to help the team deliver value quickly, with a high degree of quality, to our customers
· Participate in discussions for the continuous improvement of our search/analytics web service API, powered by Scala, Play Framework, Spark, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Vertica, and Akka
· Work with users to develop complex business analytics that provide visibility for new opportunities, proactive customer service, and insights to improve the quality, reliability, and serviceability of HPE products
Education and Experience
· Bachelor/Master in Computer Science/Engineering, or in equivalent discipline
· 5-15 years of relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills
· Strong hands on experience in React.js and jQuery framework
· Full stack development experience - preferred
· HTML, JavaScript, CSS web development experience
· Data ingestion experience from ElasticSearch, Cassandra and/or Vertica using JSON
· Development experience in modern UI and Backend services
· Team player with a passion for learning, programming, automation, and data analytics
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Excellent communications skills
Experience with the following skill is a plus:
· Exposure to BootStrap and Grommet - advantage
· WebPack – advantage
· Exposure to MicroService architecture using Play
· Exposure to Scala
· UX and UI design
· Analytics
· Machine Learning
· REST API development experience using Java, Scala, Python, or Ruby
