The Technology Consulting Intern will be working within our Enterprise Group, which works to streamline innovation and simplify IT with superior solutions. By combining ESSN (Enterprise Server, Storage and Networking) and Technology Services into one division, we gain a strategic advantage in our focus on “Converged Infrastructure”. The HPE Enterprise Group supports our customers with the transformation and integration of their technology. We are there for our customers – come join us!

An Internship as a Technology Consultant provides practical opportunities for you to apply concepts and skills learned during your University degree to a real business environment. Our interns work on a variety of internal or external projects delivering value and expertise to HPE's large customer base and you will be working alongside our experts in project teams. Our project teams deliver best in class solutions to solve real customer business challenges in the following key areas: Data Centre Transformation, Networking, Client and Mobility, and Storage.

Highlights of the role:

• Project management support

• Analysis

• Testing

• Documentation

• Troubleshooting or technical support in some of our key technology areas on our Consulting projects.

• A chance to work on real business and customer projects early on

• If placed on an external customer project, this role may involve extensive travel within the UK. This could mean spending week nights in a hotel for extended periods of time.

You will be given support throughout the year by your manager and mentors working on projects. A buddy is also assigned for informal advice and information. This is a very varied role, offering great opportunities to develop professional, technical and project management skills.

What are we looking for?

The perfect candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, a positive attitude, plus the ability to learn quickly and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers. The role also demands close attention to detail, good communication skills and professional documentation skills.

Eligibility:

·  Potential interns must be in their 2nd year of a 4 year degree which requires (or has an option for) year 3 to be a 1 year's industrial placement.
·  A Computing / Technical degree or a Technical degree combined with business related degree, as well as a target to achieve a 2.1 (based on first year's results and/or predicted second year's result) is required.
·  Driving licence and a car

In addition to the above educational requirements, Students must be eligible to work in the UK and be available to commence the placement on or about July 2017.
