Job Description:

   

Directs and sets the organization´s tax policy. Organizes and directs the tax research and tax compliance activities. Prepares and reviews tax returns and related reports to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax statues and regulations by properly interpreting tax laws and regulations. Minimizes tax liability to the company. Manages audits of tax returns by tax authorities. Determines financial accounting treatment for income taxes.

Responsibilities:

·  Timely prepares and files monthly, quarterly, and year-end income and/or transaction tax returns, including gathering, analyzing, and compiling income tax data. Ensure process in place with efficiency for tax compliance and statutory requirements.
·  Attend and responds to tax notices and tax queries internally and externally, including tax audits by tax authorities. Drive for results on post-tax audit appeals cases with close work relationship with designated external tax advisors where appropriate.
·  Assists in region management in FAS109 tax provision, tax forecasts, FIN48 and contingency reports for US reporting;
·  Drives complex tax planning activities and research including estimated tax forecasts and other projects that involve a high degree of complexity, under review.
·  Drives research and documents company-wide tax systems.
·  Analyzes information and assists with planning opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.
·  Ability to extend work capacity to assist complex tax analysis and tax compliance for overseas jurisdiction

Education and Experience Required:

·  First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
·  Typically 4+ years of related experience in accounting or tax.
·  Experience in tax compliance and audit interactions with tax authority will be an advantage
·  Experience in VAT compliance is an advantage but not a requirement
·  Big-4 experience and regional experience are advantage

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Thorough knowledge of professional accounting and financial reporting systems.
·  Advanced knowledge of local income tax laws.
·  Excellent communication in local language and English, both written and oral
·  Strong financial and business acumen.
·  Strong project management, problem solving, and analytical skills.
·  Knowledge of tax and accounting software desirable.
·  Ability to work and cope well under tight timelines, with local and overseas teams
