Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Intern. This is a unique internship for current Purdue students to work part-time during the school year on Purdue’s campus (West Lafayette, IN) and  full-time over the summer at HPE’s Palo Alto, CA office. This individual will support software development in emerging technologies in the Data Center Infrastructure Group and Networking group.  In addition, the Intern’s responsibilities may include customer usability analysis, technical information review, developing and building technical content, working on innovation projects, and conducting competitive analysis. We are looking for students who are pursuing opportunities to expand their knowledge of software engineering with an industry leading team of software engineers, and are willing to accept new challenges which will improve the product portfolio.

This multi-year program is designed to complement your growing skills and education while enabling you to gain broad and valuable experience at HPE.

Responsibilities include:

·  Participate in and execute on defined process improvements and established policies.
·  Participate in multiple program team meetings, coordinating technical and editorial reviews and sign offs.
·  Follow the life cycle process to deliver assigned projects.
·  Proactively communicate program changes (scope/schedule) to leads and managers.
·  Set schedule for deliverable(s) responsible for
·  Design, develop, and maintain moderately complex technical information for multiple audiences on schedule and within budget.
·  Analyze the needs of target audience through formal or informal usability surveys and provide documentation that best meets those needs.
·  Review and comment on product usability design.\'
·  Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the tools infrastructure.\'
·  Communicate changes in deliverable schedule to affected teams.
·  Troubleshoot and resolve basic delivery and support portal issues.

Education and Experience:

·  Purdue University students who are pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
·  Ability to work part-time during the school year on Purdue’s campus
·  Must have completed sophomore academic year.
