This position will be physically located in Roseville, CA.

You will be part of a team that designs, implements, tests, and validates SW for state-of-the-art networking products. You will be involved in the design and development of major functional and performance enhancements for existing products and produce new SW products and solutions. You will review requirements, specifications, and designs to assure product quality. Additionally, you will make changes to create extensions on existing programs to add new features or performance improvements.

Responsibilities:

·  Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of firmware, including embedded code.
·  Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
·  Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
·  Participates as a member of project team of other firmware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
·  Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding firmware design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

Education and Experience Required:

·  Must have graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent within the last year, or next 6 months.
·  Typically 0-2 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Experience or understanding of firmware design tools and languages.
·  Experience with programming languages and technologies such as C, C++ and assembly language is essential.
·  Knowledge on embedded SW development in RTOS environment.
·  Networking knowledge in terms of OSI, TCP/IP, networking topologies is an added advantage.
·  Good analytical and problem solving skills. - Understanding of firmware and hardware design principles.
·  Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
·  Ability to work with global, cross-functional teams.
·  Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
