An HPE Server Solution Architect is a presales technical domain expert with in-depth knowledge in various area such as Analytic Solution, High Performance Computing, Deep Learning, Data Center Architecture, Virtualization, linux, open source and windows based solutions.  The Server Solution Architect assess customer requirements and recommend solutions for our customers.  The Server Solution Architect will frequently be asked to validate recommended solutions with our customers via on-site pilot project and proof of concept project engagements to ensure that the recommended solution effectively meets or exceeds our customers' expectations.  This position may be identified by other industry terms such as Presales Solution Consultant, Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, Presales Engineer, Sales Engineer and Sales Consultant.  It is an opportunity-driven position and will be proactively engaged on a demand basis by multiple sales account teams.

Server Solution Presales 

·  Presales role – 다양한 산업군에 대한 테스트 진행, 제안서 작성, 인프라구성안, 발표 등의 업무 담당.
·  Gathers and assesses customer technical needs;
·  Identifies related needs (lead generation, opportunity expansion)
·  Identifies site-specific parameters and constraints that impact the solution
·  Identifies probable competition
·  Solicits inputs from other experts as required
·  Investigates and optimizes a solution's fit to the requirements of an opportunity
·  Adapts solution design to new requirements
·  Establishes the validity of a solution and its components
·  Generates an implementation plan with timelines for the solution
·  Creates the appropriate test plan as required
·  Anticipates some of the potential challenges for the proposed project plan
·  Assists peers in area of expertise as needed
·  Maintains excellent communications with customers
·  Advances opportunities through the use of effective consultative selling techniques
·  Builds customer loyalty through being a trusted advisor
·  Partners effectively with others in the account to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction
·  Actively supports the account team with solution advice, proposals, presentations, and other customer communications
·  Engages appropriate additional technical resources as needed
·  Provides support to deals in the pipeline where needed
·  Contributions have some impact in assigned territory or Regional BU,
·  Contributes to the presales direction for the Country or some areas of a BU
·  Breadth of influence goes across the Presales and Sales organization within the Country and is sought, valued and used

Qualifications 

Education and Experience Required:

·  Technical University or Bachelor's degree preferred
·  7 ~ 11 years of prior experience and demonstrated success in a similar presales or consulting role
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills - must have proven ability to effectively communicate to C-level Executives, VP's, IT Directors, Managers and IT Administrators; must speak fluent English and posses local language skills
·  Superior customer-facing and presentation skills - must be able to present persuasively to all size and level audiences
·  Strong sales and negotiation skills - prior presales technical experience is desired
·  Outstanding organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills - must be able to manage multiple, simultaneous commitments
·  Strong collaboration and project management skills - experience working collaboratively with virtual sales teams is a plus
·  Ability and willingness to motivate and support other consultants
·  Ability to travel for engagements and training as necessary
·  Must have strong initiative and be goal driven
·  Possess and demonstrate a 'Can do!' winning attitude

Knowledge and Skills Required: 

·  Expertise in assigned focus area(s) of HPE's competitors and their competing solutions and offerings
·  Data Center Architecture knowledge
·  VDI and Engineering VDI experience
·  In depth knowledge about Linux operating systems
·  Ability to conduct PoC and/or BMT
·  Architect virtualization based solutions
·  Assess technical / business impact of multiple technologies/strategies
·  Networking Fundamentals
·  Systems Management Software
·  Solution sizing and detailed system configuration skills
·  Strong experience and expertise among two or more relevant operating systems
·  Strong experience and expertise among two or more relevant ISV applications
·  Experience using common industry tools and methods for requirements gathering and solutions design
·  Has demonstrated hands-on level skills with some of the technology
·  Strong technical selling skills
·  Consultative selling skills
·  Very strong communication and presentation skills
