Job Description:

Design, develop troubleshoot and debug systems software for use in our Hyper-Converged Infrastructure products.

Responsibilities:

Conduct technical investigation, code development, unit test, and integration test

Work with engineering leads and product owners across divisions to complete features and user stories

Participate as a member of a project team with other software systems engineers to develop reliable, high quality solutions.

Develop unit, integration, system or any tests that are needed to help the team deliver value quickly, with a high degree of quality

Contribute to the continuous improvement of software and our development process

Must have Skills:

Proficiency in C/C++, Java and Python

Database experience (Ability to extract data from Databases using SQL)

RDBMS (Oracle, SQL or MySQL etc)

Experience developing solutions in VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V environment

Working knowledge of agile and scrum

Good written and verbal communication

Experience in defining and developing Linux systems software product

Experience with current software development tools and version control software

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to effectively communicate product architecture and design proposals

Good to Have Skills:

Additional languages such as Perl and Go

Experience evolving legacy software

Experience in product development in Enterprise Storage

Software systems testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, testing scripts and tools

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.  Typically 12-20 years’ experience.
