Aruba Customer Engineering (ACE) is a core pillar of Aruba’s Global Services strategy.  ACE provides pre and post-sales support for key strategic customers and is a high-profile position. The job family spans across multiple engineering disciplines. Work consists of designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging systems, software and solutions onsite and/or remotely with customers.  Requires a broad knowledge and application of engineering disciplines, methodologies and tools.

In a typical day as a Principal Network Engineer, you would be responsible for:

·  Providing pre-sales support for POC’s, Pilots, and designs.
·  Handling post-sales fly-and-fix issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
·  Identifying misconfigurations and developing plans to correct.
·  Working with engineering escalations team while onsite with customers to identify and troubleshoot issues.
·  Build strong customer relationships and become a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and to Aruba Sales and SE field teams.
·  Engaging and working with broader High Touch Services team with very large new customer configuration, testing and design validation.
·  Contribute to online technical documentation.
·  Requires up to 50-75% business travel.  Travel varies based on time of year, software release cycles and new hardware releases.

If you possess…

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
·  Typically 10+ years experience.
·  Strong 802.11 and networking technologies knowledge.
·  Experience on using, evaluating, and developing appropriate engineering design tools and software packages.
·  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
·  Experience on conducting reviews of customer configurations and quickly identifying issues.
·  Evaluating and selecting forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate customer implementations.
·  Strong history of troubleshooting with customers.
·  Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships primarily with customer engineers but also across all levels of customer organizations up to the executive level.
