Packaging Engineer within the electronics industry working with engineering and production teams to develop cost efficient packaging solutions.  The packaging engineer will work in a project team to deliver packaging solutions for the next generation of industry standard server platforms. 

Responsibility:

·  Document packaging drawings, artwork, specifications and bill of materials. 
·  Environmental packaging designs and report material content.
·  Help conduct package validation testing.
·  Packaging part number consolidation to reduce duplication of parts.
·  Develop efficient protective packaging for fragile electronics.
·  Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners on mechanical issues and packaging development.
·  Participate as a member of project teams of other mechanical hardware engineers and internal and out-sourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately complex products.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s (Undergraduate) degree packaging or mechanical engineering with at least 10 years experience designing packaging in the consumer electronics industry.

Skills:

·  Knowledge of PTC Creo, AutoCAD and TOPS as packaging design tool.
·  Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
·  Designing product packaging and processes.
·  Deal well with conflict.
·  Communicates well verbally, in writing, and graphically.
·  Ability to establish clear goals and formulate plans to achieve them.
·  Good root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
·  Works independently and as part of a team.
·  Excited about technology and has the desire to learn new tasks and technologies.
·  Previous management experience preferred.
·  Fluency in English and local language
