Key Responsibilities

The Logistics Operation Specialist is responsible for logistics operations efficiency and  compliance related to a domain which can be focused on warehousing, transportation, reverse, custom or a mix of them for a specific geography. Define and monitor action plan for efficiency improvement and for resolving operational issues. Interface with Logistics Service Partner (LSP) for day to day activities and escalations.

Operation excellence:

·  Day to day operational support for spare parts for the Asia Pacific Regional Distribution Centre
·  Management of the Logistics Providers (3PL) and ensure warehouse processes are in place and practiced by the 3PL
·  Contribute to the development of logistics performance indicators and dashboard
·  Monitor the performance of the 3PLs to ensure key performance metrics are met and work with 3PL for any misses/corrective action plans
·  Escalation & resolution management from various stakeholders
·  Align logistics Service Level expectations to business needs
·  Ability to initiate improvements/initiatives based on the data analytics (both financial and operations data)
·  Maintain inventory accuracy between SAP and 3PL WMS system
·  Support and potentially lead warehouse related audits

Quality/performance improvement:

·  Define quality and performance improvement priorities for the logistics domain with supply chain operations and Logistics Partner Managers.
·  Investigate solutions and lead their implementation based on quality standards and business continuity
·  Logistics change management:
·  Support the investigation and deployment of changes impacting the logistic domain (partner, process, service, IT)
·  Work with Logistics Partner Manager and Logistics Procurement for contract renewals affecting rate changes

Domain knowledge:

Keep knowledge and process documentation on the logistics domain up-to-date

Skillsets /Experience:

Required (must) :

·  Good Supply Chain knowledge and financial flows
·  1-3 years experience in Logistics environment
·  Recent graduates may also apply
·  Proven capabilities in problem-solving
·  Proven capabilities in Project Management
·  Fluent with data analytics using MS Excel
·  Good interpersonal communication skills, possibly in an international environment, depending on domain scope
·  Ability to work independently

Desired (wish) :

·  Knowledge on SAP
·  Knowledge of legal / customs specifics when applicable to the domain
·  Experience in dealing with suppliers/partners
·  Capacity to step back, understand the big picture and challenge a need
·  Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies
·  Knowledge of IT relationship is a plus
·  Knowledge of imports/exports and Dangerous Goods handling is a plus
