The Systems Architecture Laboratory at Hewlett Packard Labs has an immediate opening for an intern with a background in electrical engineering and CMOS circuit design.

Responsibilities :

·  Carry out high-level synthesis and automatic placement and routing (APR) of digital circuits using Synopsys tools.
·  Design of digital building blocks for computing, control, and I/O applications. 

Education:

·  PhD candidate in electrical engineering, computer science, or related areas.

Requirements:

·  Critical skills including extensive experience in design, simulation, verification, and testing of digital CMOS circuits.
·  Experience with digital design in RTL, familiarity with HDL languages, and knowledge of pre-silicon verification.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be required for technical reporting and problem solving.
·  Hands-on testing and post-silicon validation experience of low-power digital ASICs is a plus.
·  Relevant industry experience, knowledge of digital I/O interface (ex. I2C and GPIO) or academic publications is a strong plus.
