Global Demand Planner – Value Business

Job Description

Creates, manages, and evaluates demand plans for product ownership globally to ensure they are supporting the businesses financial goals. Leads and partners with cross-functional teams to develop short-term (typically less than two years) demand plans and supporting data-driven models. Prepares comprehensive forecasts, including product level details for each region within the supply chain from new product introduction to obsolescence.  Ensures that plans are aligned with stated goals among different stakeholders, while achieving targets for key performance measurements. Develops data-driven analyses to optimize forecasts and ensure that business plans can be translated into financial value.

Responsibilities:

Manages the forecast process following planning cadence providing updates to key stakeholders of potential risks

Drive alignment between product/feature availability and product/demand generation plans

Efficiently and accurately plan for product requirements considering revenue objectives, demand and cost objectives through all phases of a product or feature lifecycle

Support S&OP process to drive increasing long term forecast quality

Ensure accurate and quality forecast signals are flowing into the supply base

Works with cross-functional teams to support the data collection process.

Supports the execution of priority projects with direction.

Education and Experience Required:

Typically 1-3 years’ experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. First level university degree.

Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.

Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques.

Demonstrated knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages

Developing business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Basic understanding of project management methodology.
