Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking an outstanding Full Stack Developer Intern to work in the Andover, MA office. 

This is a 2019 Summer Intern Position.

This intern will play a key role in developing an innovative new HPE storage artificial intelligence tool – HPE InfoSight.

You will be joining a small, agile, empowered team, focused on analyzing call-home data sent from HPE Storage products to provide business value through analytics.  The team leverages a modern big-data and microservice-based technology stack for our end-to-end data processing, analysis, API, and web application – to provide our users with the insights they need to be successful.

Responsibilities -

·  Technical contributor as a full-stack developer in a small, cross-functional development team, focused on providing data analytics as a service to internal and external HPE customers.
·  Provide our customers with a simple but powerful User Experience through our HTML5/JavaScript web application.
·  Contribute to the continuous improvement of our search/analytics web service API, powered by Scala, Play Framework, and Akka.
·  Develop unit, integration, system or any tests that are needed to help the team deliver value quickly, with high quality, to our customers.
·  Leverage big-data technologies for data analytics, including Hadoop/Spark, Mesos, Kafka, Lagom, Elasticsearch, and Vertica (SQL).
·  Work with customers to develop complex business analytics, integrated into our application to provide visibility for up-sell opportunities, proactive customer service, and insights to improve the quality, reliability, and serviceability of HPE storage products.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience -

·  3rd year of University studies completed, technical degree specialization.
·  Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering program, or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills -

·  Team player with a passion for learning, programming, and data analytics
·  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
·  Excellent communications skills

Some experience with any of the following is a plus:

·  REST API development experience using Java, Scala, Python, or Ruby
·  HTML/JavaScript/CSS/Reactweb development experience
·  Data analytics experience with SQL, NoSQL, or Hadoop
