Background
The Marketing Strategy and Business Operations team is responsible for the performance of the entire marketing organization. Specifically, the following functions are in our portfolio:
· Marketing strategy and M&A
· Budget management and planning (including managing total Marketing budget)
· Web and chat operations
· eCommerce P&L ($2B+)
· Web operations
· Data science and marketing analytics
· Customer and competitive intelligence
· Marketing automation, systems, and infrastructure
· Marketing business operations and business services
Our group delivers results for the function and the company as a whole including management of the company’s entire eCommerce portfolio (large enterprises and SMB). We also lead high profile initiatives that help HPE marketing continue to deliver on behalf of the entire company.
We are looking to add a highly talented member to our eCommerce team with a background in creating delightful, scalable and practical solutions as well as immersive customer experiences for our eCommerce tools. Some experience in designing solutions, being involved in implementation is preferred.
Our team members are experts in their field and the ideal candidate will develop a capacity to synthesize recommendations, develop options and help focus the team on fewer projects completed to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver web experiences that result in significant and measurable improvements in understanding, conversion and revenue.
· Understand current business processes and e2e data flows and propose solutions and architectures which simplify work for the operational teams and are practical and usable for our customers
· Translate business requirements to IT development team to ensure quality and timely delivery of scalable solutions
· Responsible for portions of capabilities and solutions across all eCommerce tools, with the ability to deep dive into detailed architecture and integration discussions
· Develop, drive and evaluate the online customer experience strategy and roadmap spanning multiple business groups and customer sets (i.e., consumer, SMB, enterprise).
· Understand and incorporate ecommerce best practices into the capabilities and solutions being built out over next 2 years to meet all business use cases.
· Assist in management of escalations to minimize downtime
· Assess current processes and redesign systems/process to drive improvement – e.g., optimize and implement changes to catalog management, customer interface design etc.
· Manage stakeholders to optimize eCommerce impact across all functions – IT, Sales Operations, Configure Price Quote, Order Management, Sales, etc.
· Drive thought leadership to define, operationalize, and optimize B2C/B2B eCommerce across our organization
· Contribute to the development and adoption of innovative principles and practices across the company.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
· BS degree;
· Minimum of 5 years work experience in a mid-sized to large company focused on managing eCommerce or online experiences including technical execution.
· Background in IT industry preferred but not required
Skills and Knowledge:
· The ideal candidate will possess business skills to manage online marketing activities from ideation to implementation.
· Expertise in B2B or B2C eCommerce site management or online marketing experience in the high-tech industry with demonstrable successes
· Thorough understanding of the key drivers of effective online customer experience
· eCommerce knowledge: Understand eCommerce sales motion, ecosystem of platforms and processes involved
· Solution Delivery: Understand how to turn high level requirements into specific capabilities for large scale IT projects
· Structured Problem Solving: Identify and address business issues by applying pragmatic, results-driven problem solving techniques and creative insights.
· Clear Communication: Create, influence and deliver business information that drives others to action by presenting ideas in an effective, clear and compelling way.
· Execution Excellence: Deliver business outcomes in a matrixed, fast moving and variable environment, and enable a sustainable outcome. Ability to work effectively in a diverse, complex and highly matrixed environment
· Ability to work with large data sets for migrations and upgrades
· Strong presentation skills (storyboarding, development and delivery)
· Ability to handle ambiguous and unstructured work situations
· Results-oriented; high sense of urgency and energy
