The Commercial Credit Analyst role within Hewlett Packard Enterprise Financial Services (HPEFS) supports the rapidly growing and Channel segment.  The Analyst is responsible for underwriting applicants in the challenging middle-market business segment who desire to procure and lease HPE and/or HPI equipment and services.  Although lease/finance Applicants are a mix of both private and public businesses, this segment has a concentration in privately held entities.  Deal sizes can range from $500,000 to $20,000,000.

The Analyst must possess strong commercial credit analysis skills, and a history of delegated Credit Authority.  Also critical to success in this role is the ability to partner and collaborate with sales associates. Additionally, the Analyst is very often required to conduct management discussions with officers of lease applicants in order to gain a strong understanding of underlying financial and risk profile.

Primary Duties:

·  Gathering all necessary data elements including financial statements, business plan, and proposed deal structure
·  Determine customer’s HPFS account status (new or existing account, payment experience, current exposure)
·  Perform detailed credit analysis (cash flow, ratio, trend, projections and forecasts) and prepare clear and concise Credit Write-up.
·  Classify customer credit risk and assigning a risk rating
·  Determine optimal credit exposure
·  Determine appropriate deal structure/credit conditions relative to credit risk assessment.
·  Escalate decisions for approval if necessary
·  Presents credit recommendations to management
·  Engages in probative credit discussions with Applicant’s CEO/CFO or other senior level financial management.
·  Works with Customer Deliver Specialist and Customer Delivery Manger to resolve disputes related to customer payment on delinquent accounts.

Qualifications/ Required:

·  Bachelor’s degree in business accounting, finance, or economics.
·  3-5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis with individual credit authority.
·  Scope of prior experience may include equipment leasing, commercial banking or commercial trade credit.
·  Strong writing and verbal communication skills and relationship management, ability to interact with various levels of executives and management.
·  Proven ability to work in collaborative manner, working with internal sales associates and senior management/owners prospective lessees.
