Description

This position supports completion of the regular activities associated with generating an accurate and timely payroll within the Americas region. Responsibilities range from customer service/troubleshooting calls to tax explanation for payroll. Advanced understanding of general payroll practices plus related IRS and State regulations are a plus.

Responsibilities
· Ensures customers are handled in a timely and efficient fashion via phone, cases, and within internal business network
· Monitors all cases to completion and satisfaction of employee to ensure payment and/ or correction is received
· Coordinate the issuance of W-2C, on an as needed basis.
· Ensures compensation payments, awards, and various bonuses are paid accurately.
· Responsibilities may range from ensuring calculations are correct and in compliance with payroll regulations to calculating grossed-up payments and determining when supplemental tax treatment should apply.
· Maintains current documentation and prepares new documentation as necessary.
· Assist with processing manual checks on a daily basis and / or as needed
· Department Resource for basic training of payroll specialists.
· Acts as resource to create special reports for management.

Desired profile

Requirements

·  Knowledge of payroll system (information captured) and ability to create reports quickly and accurately is very important.
·  Knowledge of general payroll practices, IRS and State regulations
·  Knowledge of multi state pay related practices specifically (and local ordinances)
·  Must be proficient working with larger payroll systems that integrate or interface with other systems (ADP products preferred)
·  Exemplary customer service skills are required
·  Intermediate Windows suite skills and Intermediate Excel skills required
·  Demonstrated ability to identify problems and propose paths to solution
·  Must be a team player and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
·  Undergraduate degree preferred, related field
·  Basic payroll class completion a plus
