A hairbraider is a beauty professional who specializes in creating a wide variety of braid styles. Their work focuses on styling rather than cutting or chemically treating hair. Here’s what they typically do:

What will I be doing?

As a hairbraider, you are responsible for who specializes in creating a wide variety of braid style and deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also be required to build rapport with clients, up-sell products, and perform reception duties. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

▪ Creates braid styles
They design and install many types of braids, such as box braids, cornrows, twists, locs, feed‑in braids, knotless styles, and more.

Prepares and sections the hair
Before braiding, they detangle, part, moisturize, and stretch the hair to get it ready for the style.

 

▪ Adds extensions
Many braid styles use additional hair for length, volume, or color. Hairbraiders know how to blend and secure these extensions neatly

▪ Ensures scalp and hair health
They pay attention to tension, proper parting, moisturizing, and protective-styling practices to avoid damage like breakage or traction alopecia.

 

▪ Consults with clients
They recommend braid types, give aftercare instructions, suggest products, and help clients choose styles based on their hair type and lifestyle.

 

▪ Maintains and removes braids
Some braiders offer services such as touch-ups, braid refreshing, takedowns, and washing/protective treatments.

A Hairbraider serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

·  at least 3 years experience in a 5 star resort
·  Positive attitude
·  Good communication skills
·  Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
·  Excellent grooming standards
·  Previous experience in similar role

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

·  Ability to work under pressure
·  Ability to work on their own
·  Hotel or similar environment work experience
