The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Group Dining Sales Manager to join the leadership team!
Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.
Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (to include cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing event documentation and coordinating with Sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure exceptional service during all phases of group dining events—before, during, and after. This includes negotiating contracts, curating menus, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the hotel industry or a sales role, ideally within a luxury or large resort property, or a restaurant setting.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Negotiation of services and prices, keeping in consideration revenue and profitability.
· Receiving and generating leads, increasing guest count capture through timely and courteous responsiveness, making outbound calls to potential clients.
· Hosting and entertaining prospective and existing clients.
· Production and timely distribution of Restaurant Event Orders and tracking of actualized revenues.
· Proactive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, service standards and restaurant seasonality.
· Conducting property tours, participation in trade shows, industry and community events.
· Usage of all pertinent internal systems, including HotSOS, Delphi.FDC, BirchStreet, OpenTable, etc.
· Conflict resolution and service recovery through complaint handling and making it right.
· Active knowledge of competitors in market, in addition to building relationships with competitive set.
· Other duties as necessary based on business needs.

The hourly rate for this role is $26.00 - $30.00 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
