Are you the next General Manager of the Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island? We are seeking a highly experienced luxury resort General Manager to lead the team, deliver excellent Guest and Team Member experience while managing profitability and drives Owner’s return.
The Property

The Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island is a private luxury resort nestled on the tranquil and picturesque Platte Island, part of the Seychelles archipelago. This exclusive destination boasts pristine beaches, lush tropical landscapes, and crystal-clear waters, making it an ideal haven for both relaxation and adventure. The resort features 50 elegantly designed villas with private pools, world-class dining options including a ‘soil-to-soul' concept, the iconic Waldorf Astoria Spa, and exclusive experiences such as culinary and drink masterclasses, wildlife walks, kayak excursions, and guided snorkeling with a marine biologist.
This secluded island in the Indian Ocean is a paradise for eco-conscious travelers seeking close encounters with hawksbill turtles, reef sharks, and stingrays, and offers opportunities to engage in conservation efforts while enjoying the luxury synonymous with the Waldorf Astoria brand.
Opened in 2023, the Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island is a secluded marine Eden, attracting guests who desire magical, immersive nature experiences without compromising on luxurious comforts.
The Role
This exciting General Manager position will be responsible for managing the exclusive luxury resort, lead the team, deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience while managing profitability and drive Owner’s return.
What will you be doing?
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Manage and lead the resort operation
· Manage ongoing profitability of the resort, ensuring revenue, guest satisfaction and Team Member engagement goals are met and exceeded
· Lead in all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and product improvements
· Ensure all strategic decisions are made in the best interest of the resort, Hilton and the owner
· Deliver achievable hotel budgets, and set other short- and long- term strategic goals for the property
· Drive commercial success by implementing innovative strategies that position the unique resort as a premier luxury destination in the market, continuously enhancing its visibility and appeal to both new and returning guests.
· Provide exceptional leadership to hotel Team Members, by inspiring and bringing the team together on a journey while instilling the Hilton culture and values.

· Lead in all aspects of business planning
· Comply with and exceed Hilton Brand Service Standards
· Ensure costs are controlled
· Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within Hilton
· Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the leadership team
· Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved
What are we looking for?
As the General Manager of Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island, you will demonstrate your extensive knowledge of luxury resorts. The ideal candidate will excel in leadership, with a strong emphasis on owner relations, commercial and operational excellence, luxury guest experiences, and team member engagement. Enthusiastic and passionate, you should have current or previous experience as a General Manager at a luxury resort.
A General Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
· Proven track record as a luxury resort General Manager, specializing in managing high-end, exclusive destinations, ideally with multi-market and multi-culture experience.
· Demonstrated ability to uphold luxury standards while embracing the island culture.
· Exceptional ability to collaborate and foster networks and relationships, with owners and contractors – must be highly visible.
· Demonstrated expertise in identifying and delivering innovative commercial opportunities that drive profitability, particularly within luxury resort environments, while enhancing the guest experience.
· Exceptional people leadership and retention of talent with the ability to inspire and bring a team together on a journey while instilling the Hilton culture and values.
· Exceptional stakeholder/owner relations experience
· Ability to show resilience, judgement, and leadership.
· Experience managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results in a similar sized property.
· In-depth knowledge of the hotel/leisure/service sector, with a focus on high-end travel experiences.
· Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
· Being Bi-lingual, including English is Mandatory and French language is highly beneficial.
