What will I be doing? 

Business Analyst for Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi will be responsible to understand business requirements and use the analytic mindset to implement solutions ranging from process improvements to reports/dashboards.

Develop business logic based, efficient and scalable reports with effective visualizations and analysis of data to contribute to executive level decisions. 

Assist Director of Finance and collaborate with the team to find reporting solutions and Robotic process automation initiatives via new technology adoptions such as Azure cloud. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.

• Good knowledge in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities (VBA, Power Pivots, Power Query)
• Integrate data from a variety of business data sources and performing required transformations in databases on premises/Cloud based and Power BI.
• Understanding database managements and how relational databases work.
• Good knowledge in writing SQL, DAX, M and VBA.
• Ability to take team requirements, understand them and turn them into a powerful story told through engaging visuals in Power BI with 100% accuracy and timelines.
• Developing DAX calculations, Scripts which are accurate and performant on large datasets
• Data modelling and best practices in data modelling
• Designing effective layouts using data visualization best practices on Excel, Power BI.
• Experience with Azure could platform is an advantage.
• Up to date knowledge of latest Power BI features and functionality.
• Undertaking data analyses to support decision making.
• Knowledge of SSAS (Tabular), SSIS, SSMS.
• Knowledge with working any programming languages such as VB, Python or any open source based. 
• Ability to organize and manage own time according to agreed project priorities and deadlines.
• Self-starter/able to work independently
• A track record of working in an agile environment.
• Experience in working at all stages of the project lifecycle
• Passionate towards Data Analytics/Data Science
