Our European Service Centre office based in Swords Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and we're currently looking for a General Accountant to join the Finance team of 300.

What is this role all about?

As the General Accountant you will be part of a large friendly multi lingual team and responsible for the daily and monthly general accounting processes for our Italy based operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·  To gain an in depth understanding and knowledge of the accounting tasks, accounting treatment and reporting.
·  To perform monthly the required calculations and entries for sundry accruals, inventories, prepayments and any other general accounting as required
·  To manage monthly PO tasks including closure and accrual run
·  Responsibility for monthly fixed asset run and related entries and closure
·  To ensure that the relevant back up is provided to the Reconciliations team
• USGAAP reporting

·  Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports
·  Provide accurate financial reporting for management information in accordance with US GAAP
·  Support internal control     
·  Analysis/review of the P&L accounts assigned as part of the month end process and as requested by management to support cost analysis and review
• ITGAAP statutory reporting

·  Support SCCs teams and country departments in  Italian GAAP and Tax compliance
·  Support the country specific statutory filing requirements and statutory preparation

Essential Requirements:

What do we need from you?

·  ACA or ACCA part qualified (or equivalent) and relevant experience ideally in a shared services environment.
·  You must have at least an intermediate level of competence with Excel and a good understanding of all other packages in the Microsoft Office suite. In addition, you will also have previous experience of using an ERP system, preferably Oracle, on a daily basis.
·  Fluency in Italian and English
