Weekend Production Supervisor

This role is located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area specifically in Cannon Falls, MN.

The Weekend Shift Supervisor will supervise a team of approximately 10 employees at Henkel’s Cannon Falls, MN manufacturing facility. The hours for this position are 5:15pm – 6:15am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This role is located in Cannon Falls, MN.

What we offer:

· Direct personnel actions, employee selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, coaching, development, and safety issues. Manage time & attendance using Kronos & EmpCenter.
· Determine manufacturing priorities based on established production schedules and assign duties to personnel. Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
· Supervise and perform production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements, including product integrity and production order documentation.
· Maintain an area of technical expertise and leadership (blending, filling, then by chemistry or technology).
· Interpret specifications and make judgments about the acceptability of production that is in process.
· Support safety policies and environmental responsibilities including reporting, investigations and analysis implement departmental safety programs to ensure the safety of employees working in the department.
· Maintain good housekeeping objectives, lean initiatives, and 5S activities Embrace and lead Lean Thinking and implement changes.

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for:

·  Drive to be a peer leader, willing to jump in to help the team.
·  At least three years supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
·  Materials, chemical, or analytical testing experience is preferred.
·  Excellent oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a highly engaged leader of people with proven coaching or mentoring experience
·  Demonstrated background in Lean Manufacturing to include 5S methods, Kaizens, and other continuous improvement programs is preferred.
·  Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Visio, SAP are a plus. Ability to work with many different computer programs not listed throughout the production floor such as label making programs.
